Marceline Day, 1908-2000

Marceline Day died on Feb. 16, 2000. She was 92 and living in Catherdral City, CA (near Palm Springs).

She appeared in two Chaney films, London After Midnight (1927) and The Big City (1928)

She also played opposite Buster Keaton in The Cameraman.

Her last film, Damaged Lives, was in 1937. After that she no longer spoke of her career and refused any requests for interviews from fans or film historians. her sister Alice Day, was also an actress. I believe she passed away a year or two ago.

She was born April 24, 1908 in Colorado Springs, sharing a hometown with Lon Chaney. By this time Lon was on the road, although in 1909 he was living there for a short stay.

No news if she has any survivors. Funeral services were private. This is according to the June issue of Classic Images.
